Hungry Tarpon Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Robbie’s of Islamorada (77522 Overseas Hwy), is truly a legend — spotted in National Geographic, Vogue, and The New York Times. With a bayside deck lit by the soft glow of tiki torches, salty air, the gentle lapping of the water, and incredible sunset views, it’s the epitome of Florida Keys chill — a must-visit for anyone seeking a celebrity seafood experience.
We came with a mission: to conquer the Corvina Ceviche. Mission accomplished. This isn’t your average, run-of-the-mill ceviche — it’s a world-famous masterpiece: succulent corvina dancing with vibrant red peppers, juicy tomatoes, a kick of jalapeño, the sweet embrace of pineapple, and a vibrant confetti of cilantro, all kissed with the tangy perfection of key lime juice, served with perfectly crunchy, sea-salted tortilla chips. The corvina melted in the mouth, packed with generous chunks of fish, every bite bursting with freshness. Hungry Tarpon offers more than epic ceviche, too — they’re pet-friendly (bring your furry best friend), offer fishing charters and a hook-and-cook experience so you can savor the fruits of your labor, and serve a solid variety of vegan and gluten-free dishes. Our next visit is already planned: we’re eyeing the Cold Smoked Salmon BLT, with thinly sliced smoked salmon, applewood-smoked bacon, and juicy tomato on herb-buttered white toast.
